A piece of coral, collected from when I was young,

Suspended from leather and brass. This sentimental work was brought to life by my own hands, a combination of past and present as a one of a kind work.

Corals are sessile animals that root on the bottom of the ocean, usually comprised of thousands of tiny polyps, growing, dying and regenerating. The cycle of death and rebirth comes to life when wearing this piece, keeping with you a reminder of the past and the present, an ever changing cycle of life. Some parts of you will die, some grow, and that`s the beauty of what it is to be alive.
