SEEKING MODELS + PHOTOGRAPHER

Lost Adornments is seeking 3–5 models for a public art and fashion installation taking place in downtown Chicago this summer.This is not a traditional runway show or commercial photoshoot. The project is conceived as a moving art installation, blending avant-garde fashion, adornment, performance, and architecture within the city landscape. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable inhabiting a character, moving intentionally through public space, and engaging with inevitable curiosity from passersby. Experience in dance, movement arts, theater, performance, modeling, or experimental fashion is highly encouraged, though NOT required.

PROJECT DETAILS

WHAT: A roaming fashion and performance installation featuring handmade adornments and wearable art by Lost Adornments. Participants will move through highly visible public spaces in downtown Chicago while being documented through photography and video. The emphasis is on slow, deliberate, unusual movement rather than choreographed dance. The goal is to create a living, moving artwork that invites curiosity, interaction, and observation.

WHO WE ARE SEEKING:

• 3–5 models, performers, dancers, artists, or creatives.

• Comfortable being photographed and filmed in public.

• Able to embody a mysterious, expressive, or unconventional presence.

• Open to collaborative experimentation.

• Diverse backgrounds, ages, body types, and personal aesthetics encouraged.

ALSO SEEKING:

• Photographer interested in fashion, documentary, editorial, or art photography.• Videographer(optional but encouraged to reach out).

WHEN: Date TBD, likely early July.Estimated duration: 2–4 hours.

COMPENSATION: Please indicate your rates, portfolio, or whether you are interested in collaborating on a creative basis. Compensation structure will be discussed with selected participants.

ABOUT LOST ADORNMENTS

Lost Adornments is a Chicago-based wearable art project creating one-of-a-kind pieces by hand. Drawing inspiration from natural ephemera, history, mortality, and preservation, the work seeks to honor what has been LOST while creating as little impact on the natural world as possible.
